A selection of both group and individual submissions are listed below—links to full project reports can be shared upon request. Projects are reflective of my analytical, communication, and visualization skills. They demonstrate strategic ideation, impact-driven decision making, and my ability to conduct: cost estimation, scheduling, market research, stakeholder analysis, create massing models and interpret and respond to the regulatory environment.
PROJECT 01
G3: Gerrard Square Redevelopment Proposal
Revivification of a Dying Mall & Intensification of a Future MTSA Site
A 3-phase redevelopment project of Gerrard Square, an underutilized mall with excess parking space in Toronto’s East End. The site was selected as it offers flexibility in design, frontage on two streets, limited physical constraints, within 500m of the proposed Ontario Line Gerrard Station (MTSA Zone), and an opportunity to help reposition an outdated shopping centre. The main focus of the project was Phase 1, which envisioned a mixed-use 21-storey build with access to the existing mall and live/work townhomes accessible at grade. Emphasis was on creating an animated street front off Gerrard St. E., providing a lively public commons and highly visible market space. Reinvigorating the “dead” mall by shaking up the retail strategy, by securing coveted anchor tenants (ex. IKEA) and adding supportive services (ex. medical offices) would not only support locals, but attract visitors from across the GTA.

PROJECT 02
Moss Park Armoury Redevelopment Proposal
Reimaging A Downtown Military Site Into A Community-Responsive Build
Site intensification through a 25-storey mixed-use build that incorporates the existing armoury building into the podium and takes advantage of a future transit node—the Metrolinx Ontario Line Station. The unit mix features a limited housing co-op, as well as affordable and at-market rentals. Historical tensions between military and the area’s large unhoused population are set to be ameliorated through reciprocal and site-specific programming.

PROJECT 03
1010 Yonge St.: Parking Lot Repurposed
A Midtown Toronto Site, City-Owned, Adjacent to Ramsden Park
1010 Yonge St., a Green P Lot 246 site owned by the City of Toronto, was prime for redevelopment. Located along a major city artery (“higher order transit corridor”), the site is is situated in a multiuse zone; it is positioned across from the Rosedale subway station (in a “Major Transit Station Area), making it ideal for transit-oriented development. The redevelopment proposal calls for a zoning amendment: from OR (open space) to CR (commercial-residential) to permit a 15-storey PBR under the "CreateTO" program, that would offer affordable intensification and ground level retail/community services. The proposal conforms with government mandates: The Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe (2020), Inclusionary Zoning Policies (2020), HousingNow Initiative (2020), Transit-oriented Community Development, and the City of Toronto Official Plan.
